This is unironically how the right sees Trump and his ilk though. Vividly remember a conversation between two family members when one said “why are people mad? He just wants to make America great again.”

Not sure the point I’m trying to make tbh. Just be careful with how we envision “our” candidates in our minds.

It took them awhile to realize Trump's definition of "great" and "big beautiful" was for the 1%ers, but a dystopian hellscape for the 99%.

At least enough came to their senses that blue swept the midterms. Lotsa former MAGAs switched to blue. That's how BADLY Trump has been masquerading as a Republican, actually a despotic tyrranic oligarch.

and yet I remain unconvinced that a significant portion of his sycophants understand that higher prices are merely the beginning of his idolatric shitshow. Most have merely come to the end of their pitifully short attention span.

My greatest fear is that all of this is merely over cost of living, and after establishment dems snuff any meaningful change, we'll be right back to fighting the fascist de jure after Trump slumps into his grave.

Unless (and yes, it IS a big unless that I desperately hope is merely the ghosts of the past) the Dems enact meaningful change, within the next two years, it'll be right back to clown A vs clown B for 2028.
