There was a good video put out by AOC last night about how the speaker is voted for, based on that I think the answer is finding out who the caucus leaders are and getting their attention, because the voting basically comes down to all of the cliques of Congress/Senate getting together to decide who is speaker/Majority Leader, so we need to get in the ear of the leaders of those political cliques within the Democratic party, because based on AOCs responses, the cliques have the power and the smaller cliques and independents are on the outside looking in.

  • They have such a commanding majority that they could leave 40+ members out. If the progressives have any guts they would hold their vote hostage to reconsider other choices. It would look pretty bad if there was a wave and then a fresh speaker battle so it might motivate them to reconsider.
