I wish this was how it is, but we all know it isnt and things will mostly just go back to how they were.

    not this time.

    I work in IT for a public company, and a big chunk of the budget is now for de-americanification (ditch microsoft, aws, and switch to foss and ovh).

    As much as I would absolutely love for EU to collectively disown all dependence of America and invest in sovereign tech concentrated in Europe, I agree that it sadly seems like a far stretch, for now. But there has been progress - France's government opting to Linux over Windows, for example.

    If you wouldn't mind sharing (totally fine if you don't), where are you based and/or what sector are you referring to?
