I wholly support the mission and think a more "professional" look would go a long way to getting people on board.

I fear it currently sends the message that without AI, you get an outdated aesthetic.

I understand and appreciate that feedback. I guess what I'm trying to ask is, what would make it look more "professional"? Blue colored buttons? Sharp edges? Less gray? A better font?

Ooh gotcha - hold on, let me ask Claude.

Just kidding. My overall criticism is that there's way too much going on. Here are some more-specific suggestions:

    Navigation:

On PC, the nav bar is two lines tall and on mobile, all 9 buttons are vertically stacked.

You can probably merge at least half of these pages into each other to save space. Honestly you could just drop the entire nav bar entirely and put the About and Join sections as part of the header

    Projects:

Right now, it kinda looks like a long essay with headers. I think you should put a background color on the divs for individual projects to separate them from each other.

The tags take up HUGE amount of space. You have to scroll over a full page length to get to the projects. I think it would work much better as a text list on the left side. An example

-followup on that, wouldn't be a bad idea to have a "grid view" like in that link. It's currently hard to quickly browse unless you're in a category with limited projects

-I just noticed that the same crazy long list of tags is at the bottom of the page, too.

    Aesthetic opinions:

The 3 images in the header are 3 different art styles that aren't meshing well. Drop the rainbow URL and 🚫 images and use the brain guy, centered, as the logo.

The green Total Projects bubble should be smaller (horizontally) and the text should be centered.

Rounded corners are not in fashion. While I don't particularly have a problem with it, the style makes the page look dated
