For a rewrite I could totally see this ship working, I just don't like it with the characters developing the way they do in the canon because Weiss never properly unpacked her racism and classism, and pairing her with Blake feels disgusting without at least some further development on that first. If a rewrite actually acknowledges this at all while shipping them, I approve

    Fair enough! I tend to find the Bumbleby ship distasteful for similar reasons (Yang not only mirrors Adam a little too closely when Adam is made out by the narrative to be Blake's abusive ex, but apart from the trauma bonding on the one side you've got a girl with trust and abandonment issues while on the other you have a girl with commitment issues and a history of ghosting her partners).
