From Jeff Chow

This young baby baboon nursing ... as it hung on to its Mother... was one of my favorite moments in South Africa earlier this month.

Oh, there's an article about it. With a pretty picture, too! German wikipedia just redirects Klammerreflex to Moro reflex.

    Klammerreflex

I searched that originally and only got German things, so I figured we just hand another term for it and just googled "baby grip finger reflex" and that got me the term we use.

Whoops! I realize I linked the wrong wiki! My quote was from your Moro reflex link.

I like when I remember to check other countries' wiki pages, I always forget they are all different since they're community made and not just software translations.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palmar_grasp_reflex does not have a German translation.

The term Klammerreflex is the correct term here; German wikipedia just doesn't have an article for it.

Knowing wikipedia in at least one other language gives a lot of perspective. Some language-based communities are so small that most articles get hijacked by a few people with a particular agenda. Not German though, no complaints there.
