Some years ago, I was trick-or-treating with my son, and one of the houses had a guy out front with a box of full-sized candy bars, almost full. He just held out the box and said "Help yourself", and my son asked if he could take 2. The guy just said "You can take the whole box if you want - my wife said I have to stay out here until they're all gone, and I'd rather be watching the game."
