Hundreds of spinning tops and mushrooms later, I’m pretty sure it was worth it. Here’s a couple other things from my lathe.
[–] hyperencabulator@lemmy.today 1 point 2 weeks ago (2 children) Hey!!! I appreciate the design, it looks a lot like my shelves. Great minds think alike! 😁 permalink fedilink source hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Emerica@lemmy.world [S] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 child) Those are great! I’ve been thinking about building some garage shelves for a while. Are yours attached at the ceiling or ground? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] hyperencabulator@lemmy.today 1 point 1 week ago* Wall, into drywall studs near the ceiling. These are so stinking heavy that they have to be empty before I can move them and I have to put a good deal of force into tilting them before gravity will take them the rest of the way down. A heavier child climbing on them like a ladder would likely be the only thing that could accidentally knock these over. Which is coincidentally one of the likelier scenarios. permalink fedilink source parent
