Only to Steam themselves and not the consumer. And really just for copyright reasons.

There's plenty of games that don't disclose it on the store page. Because they don't actually need to.

Those disclosure sections on a game's store page are written by the devs/publishers. Not Steam.

And there's nothing stopping them from downplaying. Or just outright omitting it.
