There anything we can do about downvoting bots/accounts from this instance? If so how should we report ones like https://lemmy.today/u/rune

Edit: based on the silence and continuation of behavior from this obvious sock account https://lemmy.today/u/rune answer is nothing and apparently approved by admins.

Hi,

There are many bots on lemmy. Some are upvoting content, some are downvoting content. It would be a lot of work to try and verify which users are bots, since upvoting and downvoting content is something everyone does.

Maybe this https://lemmy.today/u/rune user is a bot account since there are no comments or posts, but what if its a normal user and we ban him for upvoting and downvoting things on lemmy?

Do you have some helper site where we can detect which users are bots?

Okay so it's been another month and they're still doing it almost instantly after comments.

I'm done giving the benefit of the doubt. Is this behavior acceptable from your instance? If so what an absolute awful position to take

Rune has been consistently downvoting everything I've commented on almost immediately after the account was made along with others from others from other today domain instances. Who knows how many others they're doing this specifically too.

Maybe this https://lemmy.today/u/rune user is a bot account since there are no comments or posts, but what if its a normal user and we ban him for upvoting and downvoting things on lemmy?

Considering they appear to be a sock puppet harrasing account it would raise many questions. If admins of the instance can't look to see for sure idk what else to say other than it just makes the instance look like a safe place for the users who do this
