I feel like all my life I've been patiently waiting for someone to say "word" online, unironically and naturally, just as a lovely extension of how we used to do, back in the day. In live speech.

To me it's just a fabulous extension of speech and communication, with a charm that's almost IMPOSSIBLE to properly describe. It's low-key, it's friendly, it's nice. Vaguely hip-hop.
