The idea that it's "unfair" is based in the idea that women are weak and need protection, that hrt doesn't cause biological changes, that trans women are not real women, that trans women are pervert freaks that can't be allowed around women, it's all the same. There's a lot of baked in assumptions about sex in sports segregation, and they are the same assumptions for bathrooms and locker rooms and prisons.
