Grift aside, what does it mean for a laptop to have "AI features" or "enhancements"? (lemmy.ml)

Grift aside. I've been honing my general linux/programming workflows with Ollama + opencode, and I've even used those improvements to enhance my emacs workflow. I'm interested in what else is out there. Cutting through the advertising bullshit, what kinds of features do new "AI enabled" consumer electronics provide? Anything of note?

Edit: Alternative framing. What AI features have you used on a personal computer have you been impressed by?

Offline translation in Firefox is a killer feature for me given that I'm considering moving to another country. It's so much easier when you can read everything local with the touch of a button.
