If I ever get that famous extortion letter sent home to me I will use it as toilet paper. Also, Meta got away with pirating terabyte of books so as far as I am concerned it's completely legal in the eyes of US authorities to sail the high seas. permalink fedilink source parent [–] binarytobis@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago There’s regular updates to the best one so you may have to do a web search to find some privacy community/subreddit that has a comparison chart of some sort. Last I looked Proton was popular, but I never trusted them because they seem like they want to be google. I went with Mulvad, which is a great VPN but one of the CEOs just came out as donating to nazis so I don’t even know any more. permalink fedilink source parent [–] oeuf@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 month ago Yeah, that's how I do it. Download the the VPN app (Mullvad for me), buy some time on your account, switch it on, and carry on just like before. Easy to set up and I've never had a problem. permalink fedilink source parent
