Can I unroll and let a new mattress start to decompress without taking it out of the plastic wrapping yet? (lemmy.world)

I want to get cracking on letting it decompress or whatever but my matress protector wont arrive until tomorrow

If you cut a corner off the bag that should let air in while still keeping dirt/dust off. Then you can cut the rest of the bag off tomorrow.

That said, what are you worried about getting on your mattress over a single night? Do you have pets that will be checking it out?

    Well, Imma close the door to keep them out for now. I just really want it to be kept "pure" in case the old bed has anything...i dunno.

    My old bed is super old and gross and I dont even use it for over a year. Its all catty and yeah, i just dont want any of it getting into the new mattress, whatever that could be. Will probably throw it out soon

    Tricky last mile issue on this operatio bwahaha
