October 2026, so it's starting next month.

spoilerLooks like they're doing Beerus, Frieza, and the Universe 6 vs 7 tournament since they showed Hit?

"original manga"? Didn't the anime come before the manga for these arcs? I think the manga only caught up after the anime was over already? Then again the manga skipped the resurrection of Frieza so maybe they caught up there lol

Akira Toriyama has a very positive view of Toyotarō's manga, noting that Toyotarō is always accurate when drawing the manga, unlike with the anime where he always has to ask for things to be fixed, and is grateful that Toyotarō is drawing the continuation of his story.[3] He also believes that if the animators for the anime use Toyotarō's manga as a reference it will keep them on track.

I guess that's good enough for me lol. I wonder how much they will change from the previous anime release.

Sure the manga barely started before the anime DBS show, but it's more complicated than that, for example

    the movie https://dragonball.fandom.com/wiki/Dragon_Ball_Z:_Battle_of_Gods

    the manga https://dragonball.fandom.com/wiki/God_of_Destruction%27s_Premonition

The movie was released March 30, 2013, but the manga didn't start until June 24, 2016.

Although it seems there was a "promotional" manga that came out earlier, it is not THE manga https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Ball_Z:_Battle_of_Gods#Tie-ins_with_other_media

And it appears to be an adaptation of the movie, not the other way around. In this case I guess you could say neither the anime nor the manga (nor the promotional manga) is the "original", the movie is the original.

    For Resurrection of F https://dragonball.fandom.com/wiki/Dragon_Ball_Z:_Resurrection_%E2%80%98F%E2%80%99

There was again a promotional manga, but it was an adaptation of the movie, and it did not even show the ending. So again here the movie is the "original". And then the DBS manga series skipped this saga.

    https://dragonball.fandom.com/wiki/Golden_Frieza_Saga#Trivia

However the manga adaptation stops before the fight between Golden Frieza and Super Saiyan Blue Goku, to encourage readers to go see the film (thus Toyotarou may have also decided to not adapt the saga in the Dragon Ball Super manga for the same reasons the adaptation ends before Goku's fight with Golden Frieza).

    https://dragonball.fandom.com/wiki/Universe_6_Saga#Manga_Chapters

The Universe 6 Saga ended May 1, 2016 in the anime, and June 21, 2016 in the manga, so the anime was ahead by the end of the saga. This is probably the saga that most needs the remaster, since it looked rough and had no movie.

    https://dragonball.fandom.com/wiki/%22Future%22_Trunks_Saga#Manga_Chapters

In the Future Trunks Saga, the anime both starts and ends before the manga. The anime goes from June 12, 2016 to January 15, 2017, and the manga goes from July 21, 2016 to July 18, 2017.

    https://dragonball.fandom.com/wiki/Universe_Survival_Saga#Manga_Chapters

The Universe Survival Saga started February 5, 2017 in the anime, and August 21, 2017 in the manga, so the anime was ahead again. And the anime finished sooner too: March 25, 2018 vs November 20, 2018.

(not sure if this arc will be getting remastered though)

Now obviously going into the Galactic Patrol story, we have to follow the manga.
