Disco Elysium is a game about a detective, it's not really a detective game however. There aren't really any elements of deduction-based gameplay. It's a playable novel, really.

It's my number one game of all time (with Blue Prince at #2), but if you want puzzles and deductions and actually finding clues and putting things together yourself in the manner of a detective then Blue Prince or Return of the Obra Dinn is what you want, not Disco Elysium.
