Kirishima and Wakatakakage both have 11-4, and they're up against Ura and Fujiryoga (respectively) at 10-4. Kotoeiho and Yoshinofuji also have 10 and a match against each other. Hakunofuji is also at 10-4 battling Fujiseiun who's going for his kachikoshi at 7-7

Should make for some interesting sumo

One of the makushita final matches (there was a playoff) was pretty wild, with Ikarigata lifting Omori high into the air before depositing him relatively gently outside the ring.

Ikarigaki later goes on to henka Akua for the yusho. I realized I hadn't seen Akua's name in awhile and he dropped out of the top division in 2022, and he's been below juryo since 2024.

That playoffs was fun to watch, not in the least because it was funny to see a jacked dude like Omori, who doesn't look like a rikishi yet, get handled like he's out of his league. I know he is a genuine future pro ofcourse, but the visual difference was still great.
