[+] FaceDeer@fedia.io -7 points 5 months ago* (3 children) "You’re absolutely right!" People like being talked up and complemented, of course they'd cheer. permalink fedilink source hideshow 3 child comments replies: [–] AliasVortex@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago (1 child) Grains of salt, because Business Insider and all, but it's a graduation speech, being talked up and celebrated for a moment is kind of the point. Folks graduating right now are grappling with the questions of if they just wasted four years of their lives and took on 5 figure amounts of debt preparing for a job that might disappear overnight because some middle manager or CEO thought that AI could do it. So I don't find it all that surprising that "[AI is here, deal with it]" from the CEO of one of the most famous tech companies on the planet (also in the process of cramming AI into every possible nook and cranny) has been received differently than "You have AI — actual intelligence". permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] FaceDeer@fedia.io -4 points 5 months ago Sure, but that also makes it not particularly newsworthy. permalink fedilink source parent [–] XLE@piefed.social [S] 3 points 5 months ago Oh it's the AI evangelist troll. permalink fedilink source parent
