This article says audiences are annoyed actors in Odyssey are using American accents. It made me wonder... how much does it matter if actors in historical films have American accents?

Meh, I don't hate it, but it's also unnecessary.

And, if the language spoken in the time and place the movie is set in wasn't English to begin with, or matters even less
