Terrible news.

Like many my first exposure to Eric Dane was as "McSteamy" on Grey's Anatomy. He played the man you love to hate, but you always knew he was a good guy. His death on the show was probably one of the hardest of any character, and a lot of people die on Grey's Anatomy. His death marked the end of the golden era for that show and he played the part expertly.

Years later I was surprised when he appeared on Euphoria. Again, such a great character in a complex show. While the focus of the show is the younger generation, among the older adults his character really stood out.

I really thought we had many more years.
