Which streaming device is the least worst? (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

My sister needs a streaming device but they all seem to be awful. The only one that seems somewhat decent is the Apple TV but that's too expensive. Out of the cheaper ones which one is the least worst? I'm currently leaning towards a Firestick because it seems marginally better than Roku and Chromecast have apparently been discontinued

Genuinely just Tubi and spend your money on the hardware and get a used Shield is my advice

    Tubi is owned by Fox and runs fascist propaganda with its ads

    Didn't know that but I stand by my advice to invest in the hardware. You can at least install a VPN or ad block on a shield (without doing nerd full-network tinkering).

    Eta: Install tubi, buying into a public Plex server, and/or vanced would cover 99% of a person's watching needs at the cost of like 3 months of Netflix
