Made the jump in 2017 - I dumped windows in favor of Ubuntu and it wasn't a good experience.

Still to this day there's no issue free distro tailored towards causal user

I come to you today to talk about Bazzite. it works extremely well for the casual user. almost literally plug and play. Todd Hoaward would be jealous of how much "it just works". it works so well, my wife, who barely started playing computer games with Minecraft 8 years ago, uses it as a daily driver. no windows partition involved.

My experience exactly. I even dared to migrate my mother-in-law to Fedora Atomic. Much better to maintain and support than Windows.

I highly recommend Mint! Install is smooth and easy and it just does what it should. I haven’t had to touch the terminal a single time in the last year since my switch.
