Isn't it typically cheap fridges that will resist the screens the longest? Because they market it as premium and it will move down to less premium models. Or are you thinking about brands that mostly sell fridges to restaurants, schools etc?

    The cheap fridges will resist the screen as a feature, but not as a means to advertise. They will put a cheap screen thats the only interface to regulate the temperatures through an app, so they will then put ads on the screen.
