I've seen reports of people not being able to go to museums in Egypt while wearing Meta's glasses and Saudi authorities confiscating their glasses at the airport. permalink fedilink source parent [–] vatlark@lemmy.world 1 point 11 months ago (1 child) Yeah many smart glasses wearers, that actually need glasses, will need to carry around a set of dumb glasses so they can enter secure areas without being blind. Or else they wear contacts behind their smart glasses? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] 73ms@sopuli.xyz [S] 2 points 11 months ago Seems like that will be the case at least occasionally and in the beginning. If these become as common as smartphone cameras it might be too difficult to forbid them in some spaces though. Not being able to rely on them everywhere will probably have something to do with it if they don't. permalink fedilink source parent
