# Rules

Chronicle the life and tale of the fediverse (+ matrix)

Largely a sublemmy about capturing drama, from fediverse spanning drama to just lemmy drama.

Includes lore like how a instance got it's name, how an instance got defederated, how an admin got doxxed, fedihistory etc

(New) This sub's intentions is to an archive/newspaper, as in preferably don't get into fights with each other or the ppl featured in the drama

After reviewing the previous meta post, and discussing with the community moderator, we feel that closing this community is the best option at this time. This community does not have the moderation capacity to handle the content that gets posted, and the rules/culture need to be reworked to prevent the issues that are common here. We got some great suggestions in the linked thread if someone would like to work on this in the future.

Please feel free to offer additional feedback in this thread, and to suggest alternate communities to fill this niche. I can edit this post to add suggestions:

That post is about you banning every user from dbzer0 simply based on their instance from !meanwhileongrad@sh.itjust.works, while also pretending that that community is supposedly open for everyone to discuss their perspectives

Tankies never venture into this community, despite this being a place where they can freely discuss their viewpoints.

How is it supposed to be possible when people get banned just for their instance as seen in the OP

The user you refer to is a 5 months old account with 46 comments whose recent comments criticize Blahaj's moderation. An account that recent with so few comments shouldn't be involved mostly in moderation criticisms, this seems to be an alt that got previously banned from that community. On top of that, calling db0 a tankie sympathizer is obviously going to get this kind of reactions.
