Agreed, but it's also great that an option opened up. Gaggiuno was never FOSS, just source available, and basically built up a following before shutting source code availability down.

While Gaggimate isn't FOSS in the fullest sense, they do use a CC license (to stop commercial use) with no personal restrictions at https://github.com/jniebuhr/gaggimate

And, it's a lot cheaper to build.
