edited to correct off-by-one error in 5-14 year old column

Upper graph showing percentage of deaths in 10-year age brackets. Motor vehicle and firearm accidents peak at 14-25 year-old and decline exponentially. Poisoning death proportion peaks with 25-34 year olds. Cancer death percentage rises continuously to 65-74 year olds. Heart disease death proportion peaks among 85+ year olds. Lower graph show the rate of deaths per 100,000 people in the same age groups on a logarithmic scale. Motor vehicle and firearm accidents look consistently around 15/100,000 regardless of age. Poisoning deaths have a broad peak around 45/100,000 from age 25-65. Cancer and heart disease rise continuously to peak around 2000/100,000 among 85+.

That's actually quite frightening to see how prevalent cancer and heart disease are after like 40.

    Yeah, 40 seems to be the age where all the systems start breaking down. Cancer & heart disease are the big ones & most obvious, but the trend seems similar for most of the non-injury causes. It looks like it makes for waves, like if drugs & guns don't kill you by 40, then cancer; if cancer doesn't kill you by 70, then heart disease; if heart disease doesn't kill you, then Alzheimers & cerebrovascular...
