@anubiarts@oomfie.city on Mastodon: 'how to convince people to move over to linux "you have the freedom of doing what you want with your pc and with open source alternatives" ❌' Bullet point list: too wordy, most people have no idea what that means, "what is linux". Second point: '"you can't run league of legends on it" ✅' Bullet points: straight to the point, very easy to understand, over half of the earth's population now use linux.

I mean kinda. It definitely used to be a lot closer to your analogy. I think for the most part, noobs are directed to a Debian based distro or a gaming arch based distro. All depending on skill level, patience, and how much you care about "extensive support"

I used to exclusively recommend Linux Mint to beginners, but if you ONLY want to game it's probably better to do something like Cachy or Pop OS. Debian is for people who want extensive 3rd party prebuilt binaries. That's the closest to windows philosophy you'll get.

Lastly, I use distro watch to find out more info about new and exciting pizzas.

If anyone cares to know my pizza journey. It was: Ubuntu -> Linux Mint -> Debian -> Manjaro -> Endeavour OS
