Saying 'liberals are racists' because of a few examples is like saying 'teachers are abusive' because a couple of bad ones made headlines. It’s not just a stretch. It’s a serious mischaracterization of the vast majority.

The overwhelming majority of liberals actively oppose racism and work toward inclusion, even if their approaches or language might differ. Just like with any group, there are going to be outliers, contradictions, and some people who get it wrong. But that’s not the same as the group being racist.

We should absolutely call out racism wherever it exists, but we should also be honest enough not to assign guilt to an entire, diverse set of people based on a biased sample or a personal turning point. That’s not truth-seeking. That’s scapegoating."
