No those people should be jailed lmao. Fuck the US. Defend your sovereignty with everything you have. The USA is your enemy as it has always been the enemy of the world. I don't care if canadian liberals win, I NEED THE US TO LOSE! In your fight against US imperialism I have solidarity because the US is and always has been the enemy of the people. you don't need to be perfect victim for me to support you. anything that harms the power of the US is good.

to be clear though I am a tankie or whatever. I do believe Joshua Wong was fighting for something he believed to be "democracy" but this was predicated on western notion of the concept that invited imperialist agression. I genuinely think he thought he was doing the right thing, I just disagree. The Communist Party of China has put immense effort into deterring imperialist meddling in their politics and he undermined this. I don't consider it shocking that he faced consequences.

I'm no bot, I just really really don't fuck with the US and I think the entire world would benefit form its nonexistence.

Yeah, it's odd the duality. Massive improvements for quality of life and scientific research, but at the same time they still imprison small-time protestors like this poor guy and don't have basic social things like gay marriage.

Stuff like this is why I'm reminded no matter how much positive things I hear from China, I really don't want to go there because I'm afraid of disappearing for being too 'unique'.

Not the exact situation you are discussing, but: Members of the united Conservative Party in Alberta met with the US to discuss Alberta being a sovereign country. Canada has not sent any of these people to jail for extended periods of time.

Also let’s consider the fact that Joshua Wong is campaigning for democracy.

I know you’re probably gonna come back with some tankie vitriol. I don’t even know why I both responding to you, ur probably just a shill working overseas for some Russian bot farm or something. But maybe this comment will give some context for anyone reading this.

I am not going to respond to you after this, because I’ve learnt through experience that arguing with you guys is a waste of time and energy.

here's him meeting with a US diplomat during the protests. Imagine if a chinese diplomat met with the people organizing the BLM protests or occupy wallstreet? How would the US react?

Jist to be clear, your 80% figure for "energy" includes a lot more than electricity production, which is like 39%. You're counting natural gas use for heat, industry, and fossil fuels for transportation, in addition to electricity. Yeah obviously let's go all in on renewables but you're not representing the issue correctly here. And 3.5% is a big deal, so we'll just have to disagree on that.

Seems Russia is on the ropes. Between the casualties, slashing sign-on and death bonuses, destroyed oil infrastructure, and more, Putin's making noises about negotiating. I can't speak for Ukrainians, but now seems to be the time to push on.

BTW, any negotiator is coming to the table asking for far more than they expect. So this isn't surprising.

I look forward to a mirror article of how many more poor innocent Russian bodies are being dug out because the orange paedo shitgibbon told me about the bothsidez.
