You have mentioned the controller works well with other games, correct? If so, a few things I would look into:

If Steam recognizes the controller you are off to a good start. You can test functionality is working from a site like https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad

In Heroic Games, you can click on your Dead Rising 2 in the library, from here you click on the dots (or the 3 bars, unable to verify as I am not at my home machine) at the top right and can go into 'Game Properties' to rename the game as TachyonTele mentioned. You will also see that on this menu there is a quick way to add the game to Steam. After you fix the name, try adding it this way. Try launching the game from Steam, then go into settings -> keyboard/controller and try to default the config and see if this resolves the troubles!

I mean, I guess it's not a major brand or anything but it's nice for what it is. How to you rename the game? All it seemed to give me an option for was just adding the exe and that was it.

    (Edit) it's a Gamesir {Zikway}

I attempted this, however I'm still having the same controller issue. Is there a way to look for community layouts for specific games? It doesn't seem to give me that option, let alone register that I'm using a controller with the exception of enabling big picture mode with the Home button.

I just add the game exe as a non steam game, set compatible to proton 10, and game away.
I have plenty of GoG and Fitgirl games. The only game ive ever had to give up on was Axiom Verge

Edit: i dont use heroic or anything. Just steam.

Regarding the second error, remote expects to exchange encrypted data, but is configured for plain data, does this happen only for newly sharing folders (i.e., not for existing folders)? If yes, then it looks like you are running into overly aggressive auto-completion by your web browser. See https://github.com/syncthing/syncthing/issues/10341 for details.

In short, in the "Sharing" tab, make sure that there is no password entered.

WD Drive Plus, portable HDD. Model no.: WDBZC0040BBK-WEWM. This does have 256-bit encryption, but I also never set up any password or anything as I mentioned earlier. It was exfat when I bought it and changed it to ext4 so I could use it on my Arch computer. Haven't had any issues til about a little less than a week ago now. I also always make sure nothing is moving or making sounds, etc. before I unplug and move things. No visible exterior damage, and nothing tinking around internally.

A pi and a wifi extender with ethernet output (I think I have the latter) would probably complete this setup, but hmm Im already over budget and too bored to buy and set up a pi right now. Maybe I'll do it that way in the future.

At least where the server is rarely ever there power outages, let alone concurent power outages.

If you have the machine turn on when AC is restored the UPS battery will still not have recharged, and if you have a second power cut or another glitch (not unlikely if it's an intermittent fault upstream of you) the UPS will not be able to supply power, so your server will suddenly lose power.

UPSs for computers usually delay restoring power to their load until their battery is recharged at least a certain amount. It doesn't look like yours has a control for that, but if it does you might be OK, otherwise you'll want to make the delay happen some other way. You could connect a Pi directly into your server's ethernet port with a cross over cable and do WoL through that.

  • I am in the process of figuring out the same thing. I grabbed a bluetti elite 100 v2 that only does comms with its own app. I may have my system auto shutdown when the other ups I have shuts off or run a second smaller ups coming out of the main power bank.

Yeah I guess its for non-computer loads indeed:/

The wake on lan is a good idea, but I have a feeling it may not work well over wifi (yeah Im using wifi for internet💀), but I could use a wifi extender with ethernet output.

Either way, for powering on I saw that asrock (and many other motherboards) has an option to turn on the pc after ac outage so I might use it

For turning off I'll have it periodically ping my isp's dns or something and if theres no connection for some time it'll shut down or at least go into sleep mode.

(I'll include my build specs in the post)

That's a bit of a peculiar UPS, I think it's designed for supporting non-computer loads and so doesn't have the signaling port.

If you try to have your server automatically power back up be aware that the UPS battery may be depleated and so if the power drops again before it's charged, it'll take the server down. You might be better off enabling wake-on-lan and having a small device (a raspberry pi or similar maybe) that runs off of the mains. Your server can ping it and shutdown if it loses connection, and the device can send a wake-on-lan packet a while after power is restored to allow the battery to recharge a bit first.

I don't remember what LibreOffice calls it, but there is an option to choose which dates are the starting points for counting, so that 0 corresponds to different dates for reasons of compatibility with other spreadsheet systems. Yours is not set to what you're expecting.

One of the options is 4 years 1 day later than the LibreOffice standard, which explains why those dates are off by that much.

There is a setting per workbook and possibly a global setting that would affect all new workbooks until you change it.

Search the web for something like "1904 date option LibreOffice Calc" and you'll find out the details. Good luck.

The reference date (the date that 0 represents) is not set as you expect. This happened to me when I imported Numbers files into LibreOffice Calc and is the reason I know about this at all.

Are you starting the server and laptop Syncthings as systemd user units? You'll see stuff asking for 'systemctl status syncthing@yourusername' if you are. That way it works (and has worked for years now) for me. I've kept the config really simple because I only have it syncing at home, so no encryption or discovery. If you also only have it working on a trusted network, maybe ditch the complications...?

The Android side is tough because of all the restrictions. I'd imagine that's what is troubling your phone Syncthing.
