Yeah, but there's a ton of short distance and inner city routes for which it could be usable.
Plenty out there besides the long haul stuff.

I could swear Eaton produced such assist devices 20 years ago.
Cool, but given that this will take a quarter of the weight allowed for cargo + tractor + trailer, seems like it will be very limiting in the US. The added length will make it hard for Europe. Neat idea though.
Well, I can think of another…
Oh look, a good use.
“we just need bottomless taxpayer funding as a bailout and we’ll do whatever you ask”
Unfair to corporations unwilling to upgrade their infrastructure
Nope
I should have thought of that!
There’s no turbo lag if your stellantis vehicle keeps breaking down. taps side of forehead
I’ve got a turbo four cylinder in a small car. I like it much more than a Hellcat.
And I'm over here in my little Ford Pinto with a sunroof. :/
Everybody knows you can get V8 power out of a six cylinder. But the folks who buy fast Dodges don’t buy them for speed; they buy them for sound and the fact that it’s a V8.
And I don’t trust Chrysler or Fiat turbos as far as I can throw them, especially if they have a fancy setup.
ETA: I looked it up and it sounds… like a turbo six cylinder. Like something some insane BMW tuner would build with a semi truck turbo.
Also, they have a 48V blower pumping into the turbo to maintain boost. Basically an electric supercharger in front of a turbo.
Lets them run big turbos tho
To be fair, we already have the technology to reach other star systems, just not in any useful time frame.
financial firm employees? hack away.
Isn't starlink available everywhere?
The only way to "win" at tech is churn companies.
Create an environment where startups ride it out and have a chance to be independent companies.
Currently the big American companies will just buy out entire industries anyone that doesn't sell get crushed by the lawyers and investors get scared off.
There's zero real innovation, and we can't fix it unless we break apart the giant corporations. There's no other way around it, but the giant corporations can't admit that's even an option.
Legally, they're obligated to act in the best interest of share price, that's why it's so insane to let corporations drive policy thru lobbying, it will always benefit them and fuck us.

Doesn't OpenAI's hardware group include Jony Ive's group? Is Apple suing Jony?
Agreed.
Though this article is about the systems in a managed environment, which I think is a reasonable thing. The "user" here would be the org that owns those systems, and has a need to ensure they're secure.
TPMs can also be used against the interests of the user in terms of anti-consumer DRM.
My ISP doesnt even support ipv6 so it is off everywhere
Turning off ipv6 is always the answer.
There are no internal IPs with IPv6. All devices get a unique a pool of global IPs. You can enable the IPv6 privacy extension to rotate through IPs every N min etc.
This all being said this all might be unrelated. Just wanted to comment because IPv6 is like SELinux in the sense that turning it off is almost never the correct answer.
I see this on a daily basis. Switch to another VPN node and you're good. Sometimes it takes a couple times.
Oh that's interesting. With IPV6 they are able to block you internal IPs?
