Wow. I've got, like, a dozen of those sticks in the cupboard. Never even occured to me to do anything with them - I just assumed it was ultra locked down. Even getting OpenWRT rocking on them would be amazing.

Pretty cool. Although it seems difficult to actually be sure the item you are buying has the correct chip as is often the case on AliExpress. I’d love to get my hands on one but not willing to gamble.
I have relaxed the rate limiter on the proxy, try now
It seems it's being overwhelmed somehow... Refresh does help.
Is the blog created by AI, because all I see is a blank white page with nothing on it.
Thanks! I'd be curious to hear if Natel is missing features you've found useful in your own solution.
Felt the sale way acter moving from Nextcloud, so I built my own solution. Might have a look at Natel anyway.
If you are in Seattle itself, you simply walk into the University of Washington Hub building downtown to attend. It is open, and they'll have coffee and snacks. Presentations will run until around 6pm; see schedule. https://hub.washington.edu/
Please remember to add a tag to your post.
No ui for me, but I like the concept of https://github.com/yellowsink/ouroboros
Use grants rather than ACLs, they're the "new" way of doing access control. Host a full-fledged DNS resolver inside your Tailnet (AdGuard Home, Pi-hole etc) to do adblocking and local zones, the MagicDNS custom records are very rudimentary. If you intend to integrate with a third-party UI, doublecheck which Headscale version they support and ask in the Discord, since they usually lag behind a bit. Prioritize peer relays over DERPs for performance.
The blog link was down for a couple of hours some days ago, it's back online since then. I know Funkwhale very well and I used to run my instance before. But there are too many gaps that left me unsatisfied - ActivityPub integration is very minimal and only limited to collections, implementation of the Subsonic API has also many gaps, no streaming over custom HTTP mountpoints or Icecast, no listening stats, no support for external libraries/sources, and most importantly no built-in support for payments (which is the reason why most of the musicians who try to make a living out of it are still on a bad platform like Bandcamp).
Not really. Tests, architecture documents, commit messages, changelog and various boilerplate like data model classes or styles benefited from AI tools (it'd take years otherwise for a single developer to build a product like this). But the core functionalities have been hand-coded, if you exclude the occasional Copilot/Windsurf autocompletion.
The cloudflare checkbox also loads for a second and redirects you 9/10 times.
Captchas and whatnot have done what Anubis does (a bit fancier even) for a while
Running the following command will make docker always start at boot.
Good job figuring it out!
sudo systemctl enable docker
Thanks, happy that you liked it! Check the quick add menu too, it's the same design and allow you to add most of what you'd want to add quickly out of your mind with one finger movement (including audios).
You can also configure it to add those to a particular notebook, by default.
The central navigation widget on mobile is very slick. Love that!
Sorry, check my comment below. I was hoping the demo would speak for itself.
I'll try to summarize it:
- Plan: your week as time blocks, repeating or one-off. You can skip or move a single occurrence and save week templates. External calendars show next to it, and there's an ICS feed out.
- Board / Todos: today as a kanban board, plus undated todos with tags, filters, attributes and links. Putting a todo on a day schedules it.
- Weekly review: clear out stale todos and write a note on the week.
- Notebooks: notes per subject in folders, a diary, ideas, people (birthdays, relationships, every mention of them). Those work as scopes, they can hold everything mentioned here: goals, workouts, inventory, tasks, etc.
- Goals: numeric targets and progress logs. You can link tasks to a goal, so finishing them moves it.
- Health: habit tracking with a heatmap, and workouts that log reps, kg and km per exercise. You can put those on a date too, log how much weight you lifted, the distance you ran, etc.
- Inventory / Shopping: things you own with quantities and restocking. Recipes use inventory items as ingredients, and what's missing goes to the shopping list, which you can open offline in the market to see what is missing.
- Finance: ledgers, statement import, auto-sorting rules, bills. Also integrates with inventory prices.
- Media: a gallery and audio recordings. You can put those on notes and tasks, or standalone.
- Reminders: on blocks and todos. You get notifications on the mobile app or PC.
There are also the integrations I mentioned; the thing about it is that It's keyboard-driven (vim-style keys) too, and you can run it in the phone fully isolated (never sees the internet).
What are the features? What can somebody do with Ontoplano?
That really tells me very little
I switched to Infomaniak. Price is good, Switzerland should be pro-privacy, and the overall company is on the better side of tech (if there is one these days)
If you want to really go all in, lebureau.coop should be all positive, and hopefully they are good enough English speakers to serve you :)
Daily most people agree to worse than a non enforceable rag like this
Got a recommended better priced non stateside one that has privacy respects? I'm down for new just don't know much about privacy respecting registrars
