I was heading down to water a tree on my little block and there was a agitated plover pair around. I was just wondering where their nest was (given their reactions I figured it was nearby) when I saw this little one right next to me.

They certainly camouflage well, I was within a metre or so of the chick before I noticed it even with the grass being pretty short at the moment.

Construction outside my flat is a bit noisy. Early on when they had Grond thumping into the earth my soul was jumping out of my body.

There's plenty of rock cairn trigs around but building one on top of a giant rock is something a bit out of the ordinary, I'd give points to whoever built this one.

Bit boring but just testing webp, seems to reduce image size quite a bit but quality is decent

There was a bit if argy-bargy on the Torrens today. Maybe it's mating season? There were a couple of groups having it out. Not sure if I caught it but at one point one bird was holding another under the water for a while.
