When I try to upload .webp clips it pauses for awhile then throws a syntax error.

I have had this problem off and on for some time. I create a post, and the image uploads. but when the post shows up in a community feed, the thumbnail is the broken image. If you click through to the post, the image can be viewed by clicking on the image link. It seems to be image related, as I have tried scaling down the image and posting it again. My current example of this is. https://lemmynsfw.com/post/32709809 and https://lemmynsfw.com/post/32710178.

For what it is worth, I am using the web client under firefox.

Any idea on what is happening, and/or how I can know ahead of time that an image will be a problem.

Thanks!

Encouraging Sourcing (lemmynsfw.com)

Hey pals,

I keep thinking about this. I don't want to discourage people posting non-OC, but can we encourage people to source their work more? My opinion is that it's the right thing to do on principle, especially when we're talking about content from smaller creators and the like that could benefit from having more eyes on them. It's probably less important when it's a picture from a big porn studio or something along those lines.

Doesn't have to be a huge "here's 10 different links to all their stuff!", even just a "their name is Blank Blankson" or "it's @BlankBlanker69 on X" would suffice IMO.

Ultimately for me, using someone else's content for your gain as a poster without crediting them just feels... if not morally questionable, then rude. I wouldn't make a YouTube video with a song in it without crediting that artist.

I do understand that this is not generally the norm in the world of NSFW content, and a lot of users wouldn't have sources for their content, that's why I say "encourage" sourcing y'know.

Any thoughts, anything I missed, etc?
