Sorry this might be a few days late, but it's still a fun list.

I would nominate an album by Teitanblood. What else is scary?

Very specific band name. Not approximately a couple of hundred, not 199, not 201, exactly 200 stab wounds.

Which seems like an attempt to cover up the death by virtue of looking like overkill (though they sure don't sound like Overkill) while actually being a highly organized and disciplined stabber.

I mean, to keep track of how many stabs you're doing all the way to 200, and not get carried away and just keep going? That's discipline! Or, maybe they got carried away at 100, did the 101st, got mad at themselves for the lack of discipline and had to go to 200 to prove that they could stop while also having a compulsion to work in groups of 100.

That raises the question of why not 300? Is it because it's an odd number, or just too much work? Obviously, 400 is just right out, who could stab that many times? The arm would be exhausted. I guess you could build a stabbing machine, but at that point, where's the fun?

Dunno if there's any tea, seems amicable and they've found a temporary replacement, but still gutting, Laura's vocals were powerful and they're gonna be hard to replace.

Its not often the man who invented the entire fucking genre drops an album so this isn't just a release, it's an event.

Something from a corner of the map that doesn't come up here much: Pyromania is a black metal project out of Tbilisi, Georgia, and "Hard Pill To Swallow" came out this week (20 Oct). Curious what the folks here make of it, and if anyone has other Georgian or Caucasus metal worth digging into, I'm all ears.

Disclosure: I'm a friend of the artist sharing this as a fan, not an official rep.

This is basically the 2020 album ‘Come and See’ live — apparently the album itself was recorded live with 'little to no overdubs', but the quality is of course better.

Also, if anyone knows a better fitting genre description for this, please let me know.

Whole track is solid, but the freaking riff is what caught me.

Also, I love it when a trio manages to sound like a five piece.

Sodom - Sodomized (Blitzkrieg Remix)The current re-issue of "Get what you deserve" features two remixes of every album song plus several versions from other albums. I really dig the Blitzkrieg remixes as they are super dry. Especially the vocals sound really untinkered with. Very authentic and well done. Let's just take this song as an example: musiccloud.io/_L14sQXEMotörhead vibes, Punk and Death Metal in one song. #musicreview #metal #Sodom #thrashmetal #vinyl #music @metal

I was really worried I'd heard the end of this band. I'm so unbelievably stoked to hear new material!
