Well, I just got the regular 6, the battery lasts for a day even with battery protection on (only charge to 80), and there is now plenty of cases. The single sim slot issue can be solved by moving to an eSim. So... Get the 6?

If it's built like the fairphone 4 it doesn't need a case. I've used mine without it for some years now and I'm a clumsy mf, and all it has is some minor dents and scratches on the metal frame.

Edit : the battery is kind of shit especially as it ages, but you can also have several ones and swap them out ! Personally I just have a portable powerbank

I use the radio in my phone all the time. There are a lot of good stations around here to listen to. Cell service sucks though, so there are a lot of dropouts if I try to listen online. It's also a good way to get important information if there's a widespread emergency.

Interesting. I didn't know about the antenna. Personally haven't actively listened to a radio in what feels like 20 years. There doesn't seem to be anything worth listening to on there, to me at least. There's a much bigger variety online.

But to each their own. I don't know any phones that still have radio. Do they still exist?

I have been using a manuform dactyl (with trackball) for like 5 years, and I make a new one each year (just trying out new switches and tech/resins). I dont know if I would like the whole hall effect feeling, I love to bottom out my switches so I dont think these are for me, but grats on this person getting them working and into the qmk firmware.

But if you wanna make this, and have access to a 3d printer and wanna hand solder, dactyl manuform script is out there (gives you all kinds of options of rows, colums, and other options) look into this.

10G is nice if you have a NAS with SSDs. Even a single low end NVMe drive will max it out. It would probably be best to have the NIC in a thunderbolt dock so the fiber isn't being constantly moved around.

WiFi could be really fast if anyone would make a card that supports more than 2 MIMO streams or 60 GHz.

Does one even need 10G that much on personal computers? Fiber is not doing well for laptops because of its fragility, OTOH as you said, copper is too power hungry. For laptops I'd say wifi which is getting really fast. And fiber to feed it.

One time I had a dream where I had just bins and bins of different capacitors and people kept bringing in broken routers, modems, LEDs, remote controls, toys, industrial power supply units, you name it and I would just swap out the capacitors and it would all work again like some kind of fukin wizard rewriting the runes.

I'm sorry, but the FS vendor specifies working temperature as a "case temperature".

    In this situation
(Note: The FS P/N is changed from SFP-10G-T to SFP-10G-T-30, but the product is the same.),
the case temperature is specified from 0 °C to 70 °C.

Looks like the cooked module was used in a desktop fan-less class switch.
Does not compute, there is no airflow.
