Comment as tu fait ?Merci
I don't need new earbuds right now, but these would be a near-instant purchase if the app was open source.
Is that on FP6?
Correct.
Thank you!
Is that on FP6?
This is really odd, I'd expect the unprocessed live concert audio to be badly clipping. Smells like a bug in FP's camera or the OS.
And software developers should dig up the old books from the 1980s when every bit of RAM was precious. If you can make your programme require less RAM, that would help a lot.
absolute dealbreaker. they hosted an AMA on Reddit about 4 days ago. One user brought this matter up but it was left unanswered.
Thank you!
4260mAh, as shown above. Should have been 4200mAh, but I supposse all batteries have a little bit of reserved capacity.
That's really odd, I'd expect to see a lot more degradation over two years. What was the capacity at the beginning?
I'm currently trying IodéOS (LineageOS with some tweaks), which has this in his settings.
I unfortunately don't remember that option on my stock FP4, but there are tons of battery checker app out here which would give you those infos.
Here is one : https://f-droid.org/packages/com.dijia1124.plusplusbattery
Nice!
Where can I find that info on my fp4? Is it in the android settings or an app?
Similar thing has happened in Australia, we turned off 3G and some of the Chinese branded phones could no longer make emergency calls, so phones must now be white listed to work in Aus and not all phones work on all carrierswhich makes it even more confusing.. There's an obvious conflict with the carriers (of which we have 3) are the ones white listing.
Lot of unhappy tourists as well. I had considered a FF6 but assume it wont work in Aus
Yes, but the most ecological phone is the one you already have or a second hand.
It is a good balance, AND for people from the EU who are getting big into the "Buy EU" movement instead of US companies, it is the only phone designed, engineered, and coded mostly in the EU.
recycled materials and highly reparable make it more ecological than most phone no?
Hard pass. What a pointless downgrade in functionality. I'm due for a new phone, and this had tweaked my interest, but lacking desktop mode and fast USB is crazy in 2025.
it's such a weird decision considering poth ff4 and ff5 have USB-C 3.0
What i find crazy is modules are not hard... make a ribbon usb hub into the case, each module can be attached via usb....
Hell, it could just be a usb hub phone case... give people the option to swap cameras, storage, headphone... kinda like what framework does with their usb-slots but smaller
something like this https://www.gomodr.com/
Really cool software! But my use case is that the Offices at my Job have Dell Docking stations everywhere and I really like just plugging my phone into those and using it as a small Desktop PC. I'm not really allowed to install software like this to my Work Notebook as a workaround ;_;
It's such a weird choice considering that they want the FF6 to be "The Fairphone" that you'll keep for like a decade, but then cutting one of the biggest new things that Android 16 offers :/ There was speculation that they'd sell a replaceable USB-C 3.1 port, but people on the forum say that just changing the port won't help if the Motherboard doesn't support it. Really sucks.
Ikr? It seems like a no brainer to me.
Yes, I was particularly wanting that, as this would be a phone to have for years to come. This is a real bummer.
@Luffy879 Sure!
A modular design should have a module for it
