My cats not too into being held unless its in front of a window when the birds are out, or he also insists on being in my lap when I'm on the toilet so he let's me hold him then too. I'm not the biggest fan of it, but he's really persistent.

Any other time I can't hold him, and if I don't hold him while im pooping he will make muffins and stab my bare legs. We have a sliding door that seperates the toilet from the bath, and he knows how to open it. If I keep closing it he will attack my toes under the door, start meowing like crazy and put scratch marks on the door, so I'll just let him in. Either way I can't doom scroll and poop like I heard people like to do. I'm just glad he's scared of new people I'm worried he would try to do this to a guest that stayed over and I would have to explain why he does that.

And they think they can hide, even with that volume of white hair. 😂

The sign language thing is really cool!

Ours was a feral. He can be a bit jumpy. So we developed a safe phrase with him. And if anything happens that spooks him or makes him believe that that he's in trouble when he's not, we can say the safe phrase and immediately he feels okay.

Thanks about the poem. Poems capture the feelings I had when I took the picture. And that way if I look at it some years down the road, I can remember those feelings again.

Aw, thanks! Yeah, cubbies are the best, especially when you think you’re not supposed to be there.

except when he doesn't want to do something

Haha, they’re so fun. Emma learnt some sign language (basic things like food, no, down, pretty girl, etc) and would physically turn her back to me if she didn’t want to listen.

e: I loved your poem, btw.

Your Emma is just as beautiful.

He does have heterochromia, but he's not deaf, except when he doesn't want to do something. Then he's completely deaf and it has nothing to do with his eyes.

And just like yours, ours loves little hiding nooks like your picture shows.

    🫰🫰🫰

He’s beautiful. Does he have heterochromia? Looks like just his left eye is blue. Is he deaf? Looks just like my old girl, Emma. Her favourite place was always on the darkest piece of clothing I owned.

I used to do this with one of my furry babies. She passed away in recent years, and I always will miss her.

When she saw me rolling a joint, she would meow and poke her toe at a specific spot on the floor, for me to drop some catnip. I'll go out to toke, and when I come in she would sit with me and watch TV.

    R.i.P Aphrodite.
