IMO, whenever things get tough, people first reach for the extreme - right or left, then only after that fails (and it can fail spectacularly), they look for smart-looking folks. Serbia has only been a bit quick to fail with extreme - in this case - the extreme populist. This is just my oversimplified opinion, the truth is far more complex - but Serbia has clearly had enough.

If I can try and get any prediction based on how it usually plays out is that it goes gradually, almost unnoticeably, from well-meaning to exploiting individuals, almost seamlessly but, often, those are not the same people. Good people tend to get pushed aside too often, by opportunistic people. That's human nature, unfortunately, and we must always be on the lookout. Support quality people and monitor - or deal with consequences.

I see the same spirit throughout Europe, I hope for similar outcomes - Albania, France, Italy, Hungary. Past regime has been breeding xenophobia, as it suits authoritarian regimes, I hope to see more celebration of similarities between people rather than pointing out differences.

Honestly, this whole road was very hard and so surprising even for us from Serbia, I still can't believe it. No external support, plenty of support for the ruling regime. Years of protests. Corruption at all levels. I can hardly believe. Already lots of arrests and country-fleeing rats. We've already had revolutions, but this one is the first one that feels like it's peoples'. Hope it turns out good. But Serbia is small and susceptible to a lot of external pressures. Gonna be really hard.

What is it with rust-staining everything? Rust is great, but abusing it with license washing and slopcoding is not :(. Why would I choose rust core utils, other than accepting less free license, which is against my interest? Have they proven to be more secure? Speed is not really enough of an advantage for me for this.

This looks to me like one of those "say you're sentient" memes. If your prompt stresses the importance of the server enough, it will decide to save the server. The network statistically weighs the tokens of the prompt and decides yes or no based on the training data/its weights. That being said, this is not unimportant, people do and will use llms to decide a lot of things, unaware that the decisions aren't rational, beyond rationality embedded in their training data, which you cannot know. Even the number of people on the tracks - that's not a number to an llm, just tokens. You cannot guarantee that increasing a number would increase the significance to the decision, it may be that llm "likes" the number 20 more than 21, even though 21 is bigger.

Whoa, I tried it, it's incredibly efficient. In my limited testing, it's even better than Ornith1.5, which was already very good. This runs so fast, but appears it's even better than Ornith. In fact, in my very trust me bro testing, it's on par or slightly better than Qwen3.8-27b, but several times faster.

So I stumbled upon this by accident and I'm a noob about how Lemmy works, so sorry if it's a well-known thing.

I opened lemmy.ml (dont have an account there) and one of the posts was from their Linux community about Asahi running on an m2 macbook. I then tried to look it up on my phone on Jerboa and to my surprise - couldn't find it. I then went to lemmy.world and from there go to the community and - I couldn't find it there either. I thought maybe it's a synchronization issue and it will show up eventually. But since then, several posts were made and all showed up immediately. Only that post was skipped. What's going on?

Here's the post in question: https://lemmy.ml/post/40800257
