The US government is the absolute arch enemy of anything actually socialist. To construct some weird ass reasoning, that any kind of foreign interference amplifies that very fringe aspect of US society is … man, I would argue that you‘ve got brain worms (but more likely a default western mind, which you yourself are the master of, if only you dared).

The US population is conditioned to reject anything labeled socialist since the Russian revolution in 1917, the very moment the proletariat brought the evidence, that the exploited class is able to govern itself. That radiated internationally, as evidenced by the establishment of communist parties in the following years all around the world.

The US elites, panicked a worker’s revolution could threaten their rule, and immediately joined forces to invade Soviet Russia to try and put an end to that (but failed). The US did not recognize Soviet Russia until 1933, in fear to legitimize the Bolsheviks.
The US immediately started its domestic red scare propaganda and repression of anything vaguely critical of the government, so mostly anarchists, communists and worker unions.
The US/CIA ever since has been the main actor to topple and squash any attempts of socialism (or otherwise unaligned rule) by force, going as far as to genocide the native population, see Korea, Vietnam, where it slaugthered millions. It‘s using military force, interference and coups until today.
The reason there even was a Cold War was, because the US capitalist class was scared that the communist idea would tale hold and thereby forced the war ridden and slaughtered Soviet people into an perpetual arms race so it wouldn‘t be abble to get crushed by the US war machine. Resources that would have been needed in other places.
US propaganda is the very reason, that nowadays a bunch of so-called socialists hold the conviction, that communism is somehow bad or evil, because it put a lot of energy into building that narrative.
The US produced the so-called Compatible Left to pacify the movement, so it wouldn‘t grow to become a danger for the ruling class. A philosophical poison throughout the western hemisphere.

No foreign actor needs to add a drop into the ocean that is US anti-communism, that‘s the definition of a wasted effort. The USA IS anti-communism by being the capitalist world hegemon. US-Americans fully support capitalism, because it‘s their domestic ideology, their only conceivable reality. Their country and their system has become the sole ruler of the world (or, has been as of lately) ever since the Soviet Union as a counterweight vanished. That‘s also a good chunk of the reasons why the world has been in constant crisis ever since. They really don‘t need Russia for any of that.

I’m absolute certain, that you have absolutely no fucking clue, what you are talking about. Would you be an LLM, we‘d conclude that you are hallucinating.

How it really works: I got bored, checked Lemmy, it’s been a while, saw some fun nonconfrontational turmoil and was more entertained by that and by the quality of the answers, than what late night YouTube had on offer. Until this post I didn‘t even realise that Ukraine did another terrorist attack on civilian infrastructure. I see no reason to celebrate this kind of stuff like it‘s done here by the users that think so highly of their own morals.

I come at you, because your takes are shit.

One point that could actually be a cause of confusion, so I ask you to please clarify: Do you count Russia and China towards „the northern countries“?

Those pesky global south countries perpetuating constant conflict. The world could be such a peaceful place, if only they wouldn‘t do what Russia and China want. Either way, can’t be that those backwards (brown and black) people could have any kind of self-efficacy. Surely the least racist take around.

The fact you‘re forced to do wage labour is the largest theft of capitalism, period. Extracting the surplus value of your productivity … something something Marx Das Kapital.

Wage theft is just more of that, since you won‘t do shit about it. Except, … if you organize to build power and leverage. Only then there might be a chance to change things for the better.

Nah man, not „denying issues“. I‘m just not willing to jump through hoops, because you keep throwing propaganda talking points at me.

Uyghurs and Tibet, Tibet, Uyghurs, More Uyghurs

Breakthrough News, a media outlet hated by Trump, has some actual reporting on China with their regular China Report. On the linked video their guest is Ben Norton of Geopolitical Economy Report, another excellent resource.

    E: How quaint.

That‘s a reach, if I ever saw one. China lifted more than 800 million people out of poverty, and in fact eradicated poverty at all. Last I heard, their standard of living just closely missed being in the high income countries category. Their trajectory is in complete contrast to the declining Western empire.

China is better at capitalism, because it‘s their only play to stay sovereign and overcome this predatory system completely. They have to prove to the capitalist world, that their system and long term development is superior and it‘s only beneficial for the world to follow their transition towards socialism to enable prosperity for all humankind, not just the global north. Not gonna happen under capitalism, especially not under the US or the EU.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Well, in Germany VW (the second largest automobile manufacturer in the world) now is laying off a significant portion of their employees, closing factories and even selling them off to US/Israeli weapons manufacturers. Their head also already signaled VW is being open to switch to weapons manufacturing. Pretty sure other German brands are in similar peril.

    Traditional manufacturers are dead.
