After having had long hair for a while, decided I wanted to go with a new style of hair and snipped it off. Uneven in some places here and there, but that's something I can fix later on.
Been using Linux Mint - Cinnamon starting over two years ago just before Spring. Made the decision to take the plunge when at the time, Windows 10 was going to lose support in 2025 and hated the idea of upgrading to Windows 11. Glad I made that leap, because it's been a pretty good experience and everything felt like a breath of fresh air, especially since you can actually change the fonts of everything on the desktop as well like you could Windows 7 and earlier iterations of that OS and I can even still do the gaming that I enjoy, what with proton and even Heroic.
Even decided to get a 1TB drive for my Zenbook and pop Linux Mint onto that. Since then, no computers I have, be it laptop, or even netbook have any iteration of Windows.
As for the netbook, an EEE PC 1000HE model, I would take it with me to a library just to mess about with it, which has MX Linux running on it, which sadly the 32-bit version will lose support in 2028, which is a bit of a shame.
Thank you so much for hosting this lovely place. It has been a peaceful place from all the louder places of the web and it still is.
Been pretty nice a day, despite the fact I woke up and suddenly had a migraine and ended up laying down in bed for a good amount of hours. Hours that could have been spent playing about on my C64U and working toward completing Briley Witch Chronicles.
She has done well leading, now is the time for her much needed rest and recovery.
May the next in line lead the Greens to greater success and greater heights.
All in the name of thinking of the children. Doesn't it just make you proud to be Australian?
Seriously though, screw these age-restricted codes being spewed and being an inconvenience to everyone on this part of the marble.
Good to see that the nation's revolutionary law is a booming success! /s
All good. The final month of the year is without question the busiest for a lot of folk. Don't push too hard, though.
I have sent Molly some verification, going with the alcohol route eight days ago. However, I haven't heard anything back so far, so I can't say for sure if I am approved or not.
This would be actually one of the better ways to verify. No faces involved, and the government gets its wish of verification. A win for everyone. Now if all other sites followed this, would make things plenty easier at the least.
So, would posting at a not a bar, but a restaurant that also sells alcohol with a user name written with something like Rekorderlig (Swedish brand of Cider) also be acceptable? If so, I think that just might be doable. Better than being obliged to show a face at all.
