Yes, they block your ears. I can shop with my wife, listen to music and still hear people talking to me just fine. I also use mine when i want to use navigation walking somewhere, it'll tell me the turns, but won't be blasting for everyone to hear.

Also being able to answer and talk on your phone just from your glasses is really nice.

Personally, i would love if they released an audio only version. I never use the camera or video function on them so imo its a waste of space to have those.

You can use them just for the audio like listening to audiobooks, handsfree and for prescription glasses at the same time. No need to use the video stuff.
