Hmmm, maybe I should try it the old school way. Just need a 3d viewer to see if it would look good folded back into shape.
Thx for the recommendation. I tried it out just to see and I didn't know it could do skins. Though, for some reason my installations mouse controls just refused to work. I could zoom in and draw but not pan or rotate. I got the Flathub version so maybe that's why.
You make a valid point. Maybe I should give it a shot instead of writing it off as too complex for me. I ain't much of a quiter (learning Linux at first was painful even with guides. The amount of times I encountered a bug and spent hours trying to resolve it 😭).
My friends lowkey dis on me being on Linux since some games they like playing aren't available on Linux and somethings being a little harder to do but I have come to terms with it and only care about games that can work natively or on Proton.
Must say, it looks like it won't be as complex as Gentoo (I tired installing it a whiles back and oh boi it was 40 mins of straight pain and not understanding what I was doing) but still seems a bit more complex then a graphical installer. I'll give it a shot on a VM to see how I fair.
Thx for the recommendation! I'll def think about supporting them.
I'll check it out!
Thx for the links! I'll check them out!
I know and it pains me. But, I got used to Linux and I have used it for a while now. Best I got is even if the main kernel is tainted, there are some other aspects that aren't tainted or as tainted.
This exactly what I was thinking. This doesn't even mention the ramification of AI outside the digital space such the environmental costs, the replacement of labor and the complete disregard of copyright or even preservation. I understand people can use many things as a "tool" but when the tools cause some much untold harms as a side effect, is it truly just a tool? It's something used at the expense of another. I know there is no ethical consumption under capitalism but AI is one of those things you could personally avoid if you wanted to. One of the things you technically shouldn't be forced to use. The fact that it is pushed everywhere is so you devalue everything else along with it. For me, it started as being anti-AI in terms of art and academics alone but it has evolved to being anti-AI in general.
Yeah, I am aware. I mostly use Instagram to follow artists and friends (since nobody wants to swap to alternatives). I try to use the alternatives as much as possible and if someone I like is on the alternative, I'd usually follow them there.
Ah, thanks for sharing how to remove it. Though, I never realized how choppy it looks to maneuver my phone without animations lol. I'll keep them on because the one benefit is not outweighing that.
