I've been looking for a non-web based Minecraft skin editor and have only found MCSkin3d which was last updated 8 years ago. It did work for my needs but when I used it I was on Windows but I switched over to Linux so I had to use Wine to still use it. It works fine on Wine but I was wondering if there could be one native to Linux. All I can find are web-based ones and most aren't open source either. Funny enough, I found out MCSkin3d is open source but again, not touched in years. If I did have the technical know how, I would love to make a Linux port of it and maybe modernize it a bit.

Does anyone know of one? If not, I guess I better start learning how to code a Linux native version of MCSkin3d.

Thx for the recommendation. I tried it out just to see and I didn't know it could do skins. Though, for some reason my installations mouse controls just refused to work. I could zoom in and draw but not pan or rotate. I got the Flathub version so maybe that's why.
