My mom wanted me to do an owl for her gallery wall, so this is what I've gotten done so far.
How do I stop it?

From what I understand, unlike most corporate social media, ActivityPub based software, such as Lemmy, doesn't have an algorithm. By that I mean that it doesn't track what your interests are based on what you interact with for the purpose of farming engagement. Basically, you're seeing a lot of anime stuff because it's what people are actually posting and not because your corporate overlords are shoving it down your throat.
Record of Agarest War is the game you're thinking of.
Digimon is definitely still a thing. The tenth anime series actually just finished airing a few weeks ago.
I did my favorite Digimon using a sprite from Digimon Story and tossing it into KXStitch. I probably should have used a different light blue, but it is what it is.
- Zero Hour! (1957)
There's a very well known remake of this movie under a different title. Odds are that you've already seen the remake, so surely you'll find it somewhat familiar.
The USB ports on the PS2 were intended for accessories, mostly headsets and some specialty controllers. Later on there were some games that could use the USB port to connect with certain PSP games.
For the most part I only bought imports on systems without region locking or ones where it was trivial to bypass the lock.
One of the main reasons I hacked my 3DS was to make it region free (and custom themes and game mods). That having been said, I have exactly one import game for the system (it's Picross 3D: Round 2 which received a physical release in Europe, but not North America).
My Dreamcast is a MIL-CD compatible model, so it's possible to get past the region locking with a burned CD-R. I don't have that many games for the system, but most of the ones I have are imports.
The official servers for all Wii U and 3DS were shut down a couple years ago. There are unofficial servers through Pretendo, but not all functionality has been implemented yet. I haven't personally tried it.
It's still a great little system. It has a large library with a lot of great games (like you said), but also quite a bit of shovelware. The phat and Lite models have backwards compatibility with Game Boy Advance via Slot-2 and a few DS games can interact with the cartridge in Slot-2. There's also the DSi models which sacrificed the second slot for better hardware and new functionality. The DSi has a few exclusive titles that don't work on the originals.
There's also a lot of cool homebrew for the DS family. For phat or Lite models you'll need a flashcart (I recommend a DSpico as the hardware and software are fully open source). With a DSi it's possible to softmod the system to run homebrew right off the system SD card.
An important thing to know is that the hinge is a bit of an Achilles's heel for the system. The plastic of the shell is prone to becoming brittle or even disintegrating over time. Regardless of which model you pick it's a pain to replace the shell. Additionally, only the Lite has high quality replacement shells available, so if you have a phat, DSi, or DSi XL then you're kinda out of luck.
It was being cheap because I've been wanting to do this since before the RAMpocalypse started.
I wanted to upgrade the RAM and maybe the storage in my laptop, but I kept putting it off because I was being cheap.
