Acrid green and white billowing smoke then forced community members to retreat.

Gas masks are cheap. Mine fails because I can't shoulder a long gun, needs the main filter mounted to the side (depending on your handedness!) If that's not a concern, seems a fair enough deal. In any case, beats a simple cloth mask.

And for the 100th time, notice how they pull this shit where citizens are not allowed to open carry guns? In places where gun ownership is severely curtailed?

Liberals: "Nobody needs guns!"

Well honey, we do now. We are within a month or three of Congress banning gas masks, armor and the like, and giving ICE "weapons free" orders. The Constitution is dead and we are in a domestic war zone. Stop pretending things will get better.

Seen that guy randomly firing backwards, into his own crowd? Hell. No. You only point a weapon at a human being if you intend to kill them. Maybe he thought he was laying down suppressing fire? Hell. No. Don't be that guy. You only draw and fire a pistol for immediate protection (rifle fire can have other uses), yours or someone else's. The penalties, in any case, are life in a concrete box or death. You might want to ponder that penultimate sentence for a minute.

CAVEAT: For the love of god, please don't run out and buy a gun "for protection". There's a learning curve and not learning leads to death or dismemberment. It took me a couple of years of study, and a great deal of money, and a shitload of practice to figure out what works for me. You don't have to be that dumb. Study first, try second, buy next, then train.

But arming yourself effectively can be done, on the cheap. 9mm is effective, that's why police and military forces use it. Same for 12-gauge, cheap and standard. Not a popular opinion, but I LOVE my single-shot shotties. They cannot fail, ammo's cheap, quick to reload with practice. (But you gotta practice under pressure!)

Why isn't the farm owner under arrest? They claim they don't hire illegal immigrants. So is Ice arresting and reporting legal temporary workers, legal American citizens, or is this employer just flouting the law?

if this whole thing were actually about stopping foreign illegal workers, it would be quite easy to just arrest the bosses of any company found to be using them. 1 year in jail and a $2000 for ever worker found to be without proper paperwork. Give the workers half the fine money and a bus ticket back with a warning and put them on a list. They probably deserve more for the abuse they had to tolerate so their American boss could make their money.

Again, if the intention is as we are being told. It's harsh but fair for everyone involved.

Apparently, the farm owner is a former cop. A former cop who had been in a labor dispute with workers over overtime and missed wages

From a quick search looks like the owner is Graham Farrar, a former tech bro from Sonos. Where did you find that info?

He's a co-owner, the other guy (and CEO) is the former cop

Kyle Kazan is an American businessman who is the co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Glass House Brands Inc., a publicly traded cannabis company listed on the NEO Exchange and OTC Markets. He is also a founder and chairman of Beach Front Property Management, Inc. and co-founder and managing member of Beach Front Properties, LLC. Kazan has also served as a special education teacher at LAUSD and a police officer at the Torrance Police Department.
