This is the kind of show that really should be in the public domain -- at least the episodes from the 1960s. It's good that the copyright is held by the non-profit Fred Rogers Productions, and they seem to be excellent stewards of his legacy. But, after his death it could have ended up as part of some corporate behemoth like the HBO CBS Paramount TikTok right wing bullshit machine owned by Larry Ellison.
It's nice that it ended up on YouTube, so anybody can watch it for free. But if kids are watching it there they're going to be heavily surveiled, with their data used for advertising.
This is really something that someone should be able to show on Peertube, or just passed around on USB sticks without legal worries.
