In one of our last roundtables, execs asked us to go around and share some "AI wins"... The number one usecase was writing emails. Upsetting in my opinion. Personally, I found it takes longer to tell the LLM what I need the email to say than it would take for me to just write the email...

As a developer using AI, I'm doing more work in less time and slow rolling PRs so I can have more free time every day.

Any developer not doing this is either using ChatGPT/Copilot or isn't using the tooling properly. Or, well, isn't allowed to due to company policy.

I'll milk this as long as I can, but unfortunately I also see the writing on the wall that the quantity of jobs is going to tank substantially.
